As 2022 approaches, we finally start to see inventory levels return to normal and shortages become a thing of the past. GMC is moving strongly into the future with the return of GMC Hummer as an all-electric powerhouse and the debut of the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver-assistance feature that offers hands-free driving. The 2022 GMC Hummer EV comes as an all-electric supertruck or an all-electric SUV. The 2022 GMC Hummer EV has has an available crabwalk driving style that lets it drive diagonally, an extract mode that lifts the EV up approximately 6", a power swing gate on the SUV, a multipro tailgate on the pickup truck, ultravision with underbody cameras, up to 1,000 HP on the pickup truck (830 HP on the SUV), up to 11,500 lb-ft. of torque, an estimated 300-350+ mile driving range, an infinity roof with modular sky panels, and a 3-year subscription to GM's new Super Cruise driver-assistance technology. Alongside that, GMC continues to tease us with similar technology upgrades, futuristic electric vehicle models that are to thrill and inspire an all-electric future, and sleek redesigns of popular, beloved GMC models. There is even some speculation circling around the internet about a 2022 GMC Jimmy revival to compete against the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. While we can't confirm or deny a future return of the GMC Jimmy, it would be an interesting move on GMC's part to put another model into the competition that we could see utilize a 3.6L V6 or turbo-diesel powertrain that we seen in Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon pickup trucks. A GMC Jimmy AT4 model would surely put some heat on the current off-road SUV competition.
