Those who are more concerned with fuel efficiency should entertain the optional 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine which is rated up to 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. The turbo-diesel engine comes standard on the AT4 and AT4X models but is available on all other trim levels except Pro. The most powerful Sierra 1500s in the lineup will pack a 6.2L V8 engine pushing 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque which comes standard with every Denali Ultimate model, but it's an available option on the SLT, AT4, Denali, and AT4X trims.
