Trims & Configurations Comparison

2025 GMC Sierra EV

2025 GMC Sierra EV Trims & Configurations

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV will have three trim levels, with standard AWD and two Denali models-replacing the former Denali Edition 1:

  • Elevation
  • AT4
  • Denali Extended Range (new for 2025)
  • Denali Max Range

Limited information is available about the 2025 Sierra EV Elevation and AT4 trims.

We know the Sierra EV Elevation will carry over as the base-level trim, riding on 18-inch wheels and 33-inch tires. The exterior details shared include an eTrunk with a power-operated hood, MultiPro Tailgate, and a spray-on bedliner. The interior has a 16.8-inch diagonal center touchscreen and available safety features, including HD Surround Vision and SuperCruise.

The Sierra EV AT4 is an off-road-designed trim and shares several features with the Elevation, including the eTrunk, MultiPro Tailgate, 16.8-inch touchscreen, 18-inch wheels, and a spray-on bedliner. It gets larger 35-inch all-terrain tires, two more inches of ground clearance, and a panoramic fixed glass roof.

The Sierra EV Denali models are luxury-focused, riding on the largest 24-inch wheels and 35-inch tires. They also have a panoramic fixed glass roof, a 16.8-inch touchscreen, and available SuperCruise. Several changes from 2024 were made, including remote automatic parking, upgraded 5G connectivity, and new paint colors.

The only difference between the Denali Extended Range and Max Range models is their price points and EV ranges, which we'll detail in the engine section below.

2025 Ford F-150 Lightning

2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Trims & Configurations

As mentioned above, the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning will have five trim levels with AWD configuration:

  • Pro
  • XLT
  • Flash
  • Lariat
  • Platinum

The F-150 Lightning Pro is the entry-level trim, equipped with a 12-inch touchscreen, 18-inch wheels, and six-speaker audio system. Its standard features include an electronic locking rear axle, automatic dual-zone climate control, and vinyl seating materials.

The F-150 Lightning XLT trim also has a 12-inch touchscreen but adds to the Pro's offerings. It rides on 20-inch wheels, a 360-degree camera, and cloth upholstery seating materials. The most notable upgrade is the extended running boards with a functional work surface, making it ideal for those hauling gear for work and easier cabin access.

The F-150 Lightning Flash is the mid-level trim, equipped with BlueCruise, LED cargo bed lighting, and Pro Power Onboard. It gets a larger 15.5-inch touchscreen, more storage space, and an eight-speaker audio system.

The F-150 Lightning Lariat is the first luxury trim level and also has BlueCruise and a 15.5-inch touchscreen. It gets an exclusive optional eight-speaker B&O Unleashed sound system and standard heated/ventilated front seats with customizable memory driver settings.

The F-150 Lightning Platinum is the top-level luxury trim expanding upon the Lariat's amenities. Its exclusive offerings include an optional 18-speaker B&O sound system, Platinum Black Package for a more upscale exterior design, and an Extended Range Battery to increase travel distance.

The 2025 F-150 Lightning has two more trim levels than the 2025 Sierra EV at a lower price, but the vehicle isn't much different than the regular F-150. The 2025 Sierra EV has fewer trim levels and a higher price tag but made significant changes from the standard Sierra 1500, including a new, lower-priced Denali Extended Range model, paint colors, and valuable trim-specific features. The Sierra has the edge in quality while the Lightning has the edge in affordability.

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV interior colors are only announced for the Denali models, with Jet Black as the sole option. They can seat up to five passengers in a Crew Cab Short Bed configuration with a cargo capacity of 57.5 cu. ft. An 11-inch digital gauge cluster with a wireless smartphone charging pad is also included.

The signature Denali premium leatherette seating materials with open-pore wood and Bose premium seven-speaker audio system with a Richbass woofer carried over from last year.

As mentioned, the 2025 EV Elevation and AT4 interior information remains limited. We know they'll have the same 16.8-inch diagonal center touchscreen as the Denali. The tinted and UV-coated panoramic glass roof is standard on the AT4 and Denali models.

2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Interior Design

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning interior has three color options with select availability per trim level:

  • Black/Medium Dark Slate (Lariat)
  • Medium Dark Slate (Pro, XLT, Flash)
  • Space Gray (Platinum)

It can seat up to five passengers in a SuperCrew Cab configuration, with a cargo capacity of 52.8 cu. ft. Infotainment screen sizes range from 12 to 15.5 inches. Available B&O audio system options include eight speakers on the Lariat and 18 on the Platinum. It has vinyl seating materials, and the cabin even has a drain for wet storage. A 12-inch digital gauge cluster is also included, with wireless charging on upper trim levels.

The 2025 Sierra EV and F-150 Lightning share several interior features, including a five-passenger capacity, two rows, navigation, in-car Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The Sierra EV has a larger infotainment touchscreen of 1.3 inches and a bigger maximum cargo capacity of almost 5-ft.

The Lightning offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, whereas the Sierra EV doesn't. The digital gauge cluster is also larger by an inch. Additionally, it has a bigger available sound system with eight or 18-speaker options than the Sierra EV's seven. However, this requires upgrading in upper trim levels, which is standard on the Sierra EV Denali models.

The Lightning also has a large front truck, adding 14.1 cu. ft. storage space.

The 2025 F-150 Lightning has a larger front truck storage of over 3-ft. and offers one more paint color, but only available on the Lariat. It's also slightly smaller and lighter, potentially having more efficient MPGe ratings until those are released for the 2025 Sierra EV. However, this contributes to a shorter ground clearance, along with minimal design changes from 2024.

The standard safety and driver assistance features on the 2025 EV Elevation and AT4 trims haven't been released. As mentioned, they'll share the available HD Surround Vision and SuperCruise as the Denali. NHTSA and IIHS safety ratings aren't yet available for the lineup.

The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning also has a long list of standard safety and driver assistance features, including:

Why the GMC Sierra EV Leads the Charge in 2025

Although the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning offers more trim levels at a significantly lower price range than the 2025 Sierra EV, it falls slightly short in comparison. The 2025 Lightning models are a carryover design with minimal changes from last year's lineup. While this contributes to its affordability, and the 2024 models were highly rated, the Sierra EV is worth the investment for its overall value.

The 2025 Sierra EV has a much stronger battery, leading the charge in the standard EV range by 70 miles with only around an hour's more difference in total charging time. The specs are also bigger all around, including powertrains, cargo capacity, infotainment touchscreens, and bed lengths.

As more details about the Elevation and AT4 trims are released, the information we know now shows the Sierra EV as the winner in giving what electric pickup drivers need in a new truck.
