The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation offers upgraded amenities over the lower levels,
including remote start, two extra USB ports, and in-bed LED lighting.
2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 Off-Road Truck
The new GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 is designed for off-roading,
with a two-inch suspension lift, skid plates, hill descent control, a two-speed
transfer case, and off-road suspension.

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X
The GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X is the new face of adventure. With
its rugged good looks and 18" Goodyear tires with a high-gloss black finish, no

The 2022 GMC Sierra interior is set for some upgrades. We
are looking at a new dash, center console, gauge cluster, and center stack.
Regular Cab trucks have enough room for three people, while the Double Cab and
Crew Cab trucks will hold six people each.
2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Exterior Colors & Dimensions
The exterior of the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 receives a mild
mid-cycle restyling with an updated front and rear fascia, new paint colors,
and new wheels. GM will release more details as we get closer to the release
date.
2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Engine Options & Horsepower Specs
The new GMC Sierra 1500 light-duty truck has a standard
285-horsepower V6 engine or an optional 310-horsepower turbo-four. There are
also two V8 engines available: the 355-horsepower 5.3-liter and the
420-horsepower 6.2-liter. Otherwise, you can opt for a 277-horsepower
turbodiesel. While the V6 comes with a six-speed automatic, you can choose an
eight-speed or ten-speed automatic with the other engines.

2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Towing Capacity & Payload Rating
In total, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 can tow up to 11,800
pounds and has a carrying capacity (payload) of up to 2,250 pounds.
Additionally, the new GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 payload capacity reaches 1,860
pounds.
2022 vs. 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Changes & Updates
All of the updates to the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 are mostly cosmetic. However, we expect a slight increase in
payload ratings for certain configurations alongside a nice facelift to the
exterior and some new high-tech features inside the cabin. Otherwise, the
capability, power, and safety features you know and love will remain the same
as the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 lineup.
2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Safety Ratings & New Super Cruise Technology
Safety ratings haven't been released yet for the 2022 GMC
Sierra 1500, but we expect it to do well. Additionally, the new Super Cruise
Technology is scheduled to make its way into the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali
later in the year. GM's Super Cruise is a semi-autonomous, hands-free driver
assistance technology that utilizes high-definition maps, sensors that observe
the road you're driving on, and an interior monitoring system to ensure the
driver is paying attention to the road at all times. Super Cruise doesn't
require you to keep your hands on the wheel, but you do have to keep your eyes
forward watching the road ahead. We're excited to see the new Super Cruise
driver assistance technology available in future GMC Sierra trucks.
