The new 2025 GMC Canyon has a standard 2.7L
Turbomax four-cylinder gas engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
It produces up to 310 hp and a best-in-class 430 lb.-ft. of torque-providing more power and torque than the Honda Ridgeline and Jeep Gladiator V-6
powertrains and the turbo-four Toyota Tacoma.
This powertrain accelerates the Canyon from 0
to 60mph in 6.8 seconds-outbeating the Nissan Frontier and Taco TRD
Off-Road's 7.2-second performance. It
has five selectable drive modes for 4WD models:
